About TBE

Clay is one of mankind’s oldest working materials. The “Fédération Européenne des Fabricants de Tuiles et de Briques” (TBE) deals with the future of an industry based on this material.

TBE promotes the interests of the brick and tile industry in Europe by means of lobbying European legislation in the fields of industrial, environmental, energy, standardisation and sustainability policies. It provides a forum for its members to exchange information on technical development, environmentally friendly production and emerging issues.

TBE is a member of Cérame-Unie, the liaison office of the European ceramic industry, and its secretariat is located at the Cérame-Unie office in Brussels. For more information go to http://www.cerameunie.net

TBE has 25 member associations associations located in 19 EU member states, Bulgaria, Serbia, Switzerland and Norway; its manpower in 2003 was around 50 000 workers, and its turnover was estimated at 7 Billion Euro.
