Demolition and recycling - Demolition of buildings
| When the only option is to demolish, ways must be found to re-use as much
as possible of the building fabric. Extracting roof tiles and storing them for re-use is not difficult. And when bricks are left over from building projects, they too can be diverted to other uses. But utilising bricks from demolition sites is more difficult, as they may be contaminated with concrete, mortar, plaster and other materials. |
